Forest Industries Ireland (FII) have launched a Guide to the Application of Environmental Product Declarations for Irish Timber. FII brings together companies from across the forestry and timber supply chain, from forest owners and forestry companies, to timber processors, wood product manufacturers, and renewable energy producers. EPDs help architects and developers measure the carbon footprint and other environmental credentials of timber products and measure these against other building products.
The newly launched guide aims to assist specifiers by simplifying the understanding and application of LCA calculations and supports our previously released EPDs for homegrown timber.
